Wildlife Biologist, Ethnobotanist, Naturalist, Wilderness Survival Instructor, and amateur Astronomer Vincent Pinto has been leading quality Birding, Biodiversity, and Ethnobotany tours in Arizona’s famed Sky Islands region since 1993.
For over 30 years Vincent, has led thousands of birders, hikers, and other Nature enthusiasts on wild journeys of discovery within the unique and diverse Sky Islands of Arizona. The region boasts more biodiversity than any comparable area in the U.S.! Venturing into austere deserts, rich woodlands, along lush streams, through dense chaparral, amidst flowing grasslands, and other area habitats discover the unique biodiversity that makes the Sky Islands so renowned.
Vincent seamlessly interprets the many birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, butterflies, other invertebrates, and native plants that call the area’s many habitats home. Along the way, enjoy striking landscapes that collectively make the region a naturalist’s paradise.
Many of our Sky Islands Tours begin at our 42-acre Raven’s Nest Nature Sanctuary by Patagonia Lake and 9,500-acre Sonoita Creek State Natural Area, where the bird list stands at 166 – including many rarer species more typical of Mexico. Breeding Gray Hawks, Varied Buntings, Montezuma Quail, Rufous-winged Sparrows, Northern Beardless Tyrannulet, and other “Mexican Specialty” birds are prized, yet common finds at our sanctuary. New species continue to be recorded each year.

The Tuition for our Private Sky Islands Biodiversity Tours is:
- Half-day Tours of 5-hours duration – $250/couple – including snacks & beverages
- Full-day Tours of 8-hours duration – $400/couple – including healthy Organic lunch, snacks & beverages
