Poetry Reading by Erica Swadley – Global Arts Gallery
November 27 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
“As Long as there is life, there is poetry”.
Poetry reading and book signing.
Erica Swadley is a poet, painter and shamanic practitioner, writing poetry that helps fill the empty spaces inside. In some cultures, she’d be known as a word-doctor; receiving information from the dream world and other ineffable sources… acting as a vessel, allowing messages to pour through.
Erica writes with just the right mix of playfulness and ecstasy. Her poems address the adventure of aging with humor, compassion and tenderness. She explores topics some people would rather not look at, such as loneliness and invisibility. She makes clear that the elderly remain passionate, sensuous and engaged with life
